Nahy 'an al Munkar (forbidding the evil)
It means forbidding oneself and others from that which is prohibited in Islam. Simply put, the term “Nahy ’an al-Munkar” represents the “don’ts” of Islam.
In this regard the Qur’an says:
“And from among you there should be a group who invite good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong; and they only shall be successful”. (3:103)
