Tawalla

Tawalla is to love and follow the Prophet and his Holy Progeny. We should also love the friends of Allah swt, those who desire truth, righteous people and supporters of truth and justice.

In this instance expressing love is not enough but one must strive to assist those who are down-trodden and treated unjustly by tyrants.

The Qur’an says:

"Say (O Muhammad): I ask you of no reward except the muwaddah (love) of my near relatives. Whosoever earns good, We give him more of good therein. Surely Allah is forgiving, grateful." (42:23)
